Take in the amazing scenery on your Christchurch to Queenstown Day Tour. Aoraki / Mt Cook National Park is an alpine wonderland, and Queenstown is the adventure capital of New Zealand.
Leaving Christchurch, travel across the Canterbury Plains before arriving in the picturesque town of Tekapo. Stand on the shores of the beautiful glacier-fed lake and see the Southern Alps rise behind it. See the famous sheep dog statue built in memory of the hard working mustering dogs of the area, and the Church of the Good Shepherd.
Continue on through Aoraki Mount Cook National Park, stopping at Mt Cook Village. Here you'll have amazing views of Aoraki / Mt Cook and can choose to explore one of the many short walking tracks. You can also choose to enjoy lunch at the iconic Hermitage Hotel, take a scenic flight or visit the Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre (all extra cost).
In the afternoon, continue south over the beautiful Lindis Pass and past Lake Dunstan, making a stop at the Jones Family Orchard in Cromwell to sample the delicious stonefruit for which this small town is famous.
Your tour will arrive in Queenstown in the early evening. Surrounded by majestic mountains and nestled on the shores of crystal clear Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown’s stunning scenery is inspiring and revitalising, and the options for adventure activities are second to none.
